It has been a while but I am hoping to be updating my portfolio more regularly over the coming months. I have been concentrating on other areas of my photography and continue to do so but I have to say that nothing exited me more than an art nude shoot where I can experiment with lighting and backgrounds. My most recent set, CharlotteG was shot at Barlow Studio. Barlow is a small studio on the outskirts of Chesterfield which has been developed in converted outbuildings on what is still a working farm. Seems like quite some time since I uploaded any images on here. I have been exploring other areas of photography and the art nude photography has taken a back seat. I am now hoping to add a few more shoots in the near future and hopefully upload more images here. Watch this space.

With my art nude photography I more often than not ask my models to wear high heel shoes.Occasionally this brings about adverse comments and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. For me the shoes add to the form of the calf muscle and give what I feel is a better look to the leg. I am sure that there will be those out there that say that the same effect can be achieved by asking the model to stand on tip toe. I agree, and with some models this works although I don't find that all models can carry this off well. On other occasions I don't think tip toes are appropriate.
